Title: Oil Injection Fittings
Post by: 58Evinrude on August 17, 2014, 10:00:27 PM
Are the injection fittings on the cylinders spring loaded inside, or are they just open tubes? I'm talking about the Banjo type fittings. I can run compressed air through them, but I can't blow through them.

The ones on my yammi are just open tubes.

They are check valves.  Don't run high psi compressed air through them, you could damage them.  Iirc, they should open at 14.5psi.

Hmmm, too late now. I hope I didn't mess 'em up. I'm going to keep running premix in that one, and wait and see if the injection is working.

Thanks :)

Seems like there is a Polaris PN for them if you need new ones??

Thanks for the part number. If I find the system isn't working, I'll try to get a couple of those.
