Waconia 2017 is Sno Jet and also Kawasaki. I think we should try to have one of each model for the Sunday sled show. Maybe the guys with only a few Kawi's should post what they can bring and the guys with mad Kawi ( more than a few ) can bring along the rest to fill the model line up?? Might be the only chance we get to have them all at one show.
-
Count me in, I think I can fill in a spot or two.
-
One thing I have been asked but do not know the answer to is how many sleds did Kawasaki Make?
-
We have also been asked for pictures of Kawasaki snowmobiles with no people in the pictures. They do not need to be full size as they are just scrolling across to top of a web page. Post them in this thread and I will make sure Valdi knows they are here so he can take what he wants.
-
Like this?
-
Yup, that will work but the file size is way bigger than it needs to be but I guess he can make them what ever size he needs. Thanks

What other part are you looking for?
-
I should have worded that differently, Kawasaki parts and stuff, for sleds here. 78 Intruder oil gauge panel, right side #59225-3501. And luggage rack #53020-3501 bolts onto 53043-3501 backrest. And luggage rack bag. #SU904RB. Gone fishing, back sunday.

Really cool 1974 SnoJet Sabre jet in your pictures. Is that yours too, Interceptor 398?
That was my 1st sled, purchased in the fall of '78. I later sold it to buy my Invader in 1982.
I loved that sled, but couldn't afford to keep it too. I learned lots of lessons with that SabreJet.
Fortunately, none of them resulted in injury to the sled or me. ::)
I remember its early slide rail suspension had steel rails rather than aluminum.
A neighbor bought a Johnson with its unique horizontally opposed twin engine, that sounded really different, and it had a bogey wheel suspension.
We traded off a few times while out riding, and I remember how you could feel every little bump with the bogeys....I thought the SabreJet was waaay better ...and really rode great.....until I experienced the ride on the Invader. ;D
That one in your pictures looks really nice.

The Sabre Jet belonged to my brother but he sold it last year to someone in NY I think.

Got this message from a member
Hey Bob, Greg, talking to Jesse Babler the other night , he is looking for a nice, 1977 Kawasaki Sno-Jet to display in ballroom. Maybe you know of someone? I told him I would ask around.
So the question is, anyone out there have one of these that can also get to Waconia??
-
BornagainKawi, Very impressive collection. My Dad used to be a dealer so I have the same sign in my shop and a few old suits as well. I remember the day he got rid of all his left over parts after he retired, what a mistake knowing what i know now. All Ive got for Kawi sleds so far is my Oval Race sled, 1982 440 Invader, and two 1980 440 Invader and one 340 invader that are in pieces that could be retored, I also race a 340 1977 Kawasaki snojet 340 Astro. I should post pics one day.

I was told yesterday that Gregg channell will be at Waconia how cool is that
-
I wonder what the ice is like? It might be to warm to play on the lake??
-
I'm west of Waconia of right now very foggy out & most of the lakes here have water on them I heard though it's suppose to get cooler out
-
The forecast for Tuesday to Wednesday is snow 2-5 inches cooler temps to mid 20's

I will be there mainly due to the Kawasaki Cancer Charity build to help Mayo Clinic. I will be bringing a 1981 Drifter 440 hoping that it will be the one no one else brings. Vintage ride is at 10:00am. Lets ride together and do lunch after?? See you there!! Ohhh Looks like I will be spending the night in my van and staying for the Sunday show to get pictures for next years calendar. This will be the biggest collection of Kawasaki snowmobiles in one place in my lifetime!!
