Sometimes the workbench can be as interesting as the work.

I can't say that I keep track of everything.  There are way too many sleds in the machine shed to keep it all straight.  I am however grateful that most of the parts are interchangeable.  A couple of years ago we started building spare engines.  I think that there are three or four or five under the workbench right now waiting for a chassis.  This photo was taken at the height of some of the activity.

Couldn't find my infrared thermometer and thought it might have gotten put away with  the jet skis.  No luck, but I couldn't resist taking this photo of the sleds peacefully waiting for snow.

The new track is waiting for the next project sled.  Probably our next 440 Invader.
