In the 1st pic of the exhaust side, there sure is a whole gob of crankcase sealant goobered out of the crankcase halves.
I don't remember how they looked when they were new. It's been a long time since I bought my Invader in 1982.
But that looks like a lot of "Goo"...? Dunno   ???

Does look like quite a bit of sealant.  My sense is that if they went to that  much trouble to make an old engine look new then they would have been that attentive to the goo too.  That would make me think the goo is original.

Used to be able to buy those from Dennis Kirk. Back in the early 90's. :D
