Title: carb question
Post by: Vader440 on December 17, 2017, 03:22:54 PM
What is the hose that goes from the bottom of the bowl to the top of the mikuni carb? I've worked on Arctic Cats and I've never seen that before. Thanks!

Hi

welcome to the forum!

The Kawasaki's use power-jet or econo-jet carbs.  Depends who is talking about them what they are called.

There is an orfice in the bottom of the carb bowl. At higher rpms the carb sucks extra fuel through the hose .

That is a very quick explanation. If you google power-jet carbs you will learn lots.

They are both loved and hated

you must run an airbox for power jet carbs to work correctly

1.5 will work. I know the Deere Liquifire came with 1.2. I am not sure what Invader's came with.

www.newbreedparts.com   is a great place to get Mikuni parts
