Title: Single sno pro
Post by: sprocket on September 20, 2018, 06:29:25 AM
So this has been picking my brain for a while I started out with a Kawasaki single 292 fan engine milled off the fan shroud made some aluminum spacer plates and weld them onto the bottom case halfs as we speak I'm waiting back on my cylinder (added reed block) on a 550  interceptor I will be making a 2 piece head out of billet aluminum. Added features will be aluminum flywheel with electric start & a tuner pipe well lol mostly custom made I plan on putting this engine into my spare shark chassis as a 300 super mod leafer more to come oh if you're asking your self why this way the rules that I'm going off says it has to be a snowmobile engine 85' an older

Water cooled is being pumped with a electric water pump by Davis water pumps, the chassis is my custom hand built chassis including the hood, Conrad Seats built me this awesome seat, Wahlracing.com with miscellaneous parts like the radiator, Wild River Machine has made quite a few parts for me much appreciated more to come.

A little update the cylinder is in process within a month that should be ready to bolt on the shop said we can add in a few more ports if all this works out I might have to build a 550.

I've been working on the ignition need to machine a hub to fit the crankshaft. My gaskets & piston showed up waiting for some other parts to show up so I can start the fitting this altogether

This is very interesting!  I can't wait to hear how it turns out.  Do you plan on dynoing it?

An old friend just reminded me you can't rely on someone else been waiting for 3 months on my cylinder to come back at this speed I won't be running it this year or bringing it to Waconia I kind of wanted to race at Eagle River

Month 4 ? Still no cylinder so decided to look at the ignition a little closer instead of using Polaris ignition we found out that the Kawasaki 550sx flywheel bolts on including the keyway is the same, change of plans the other thing we decided to not use is electric start the  terminology that DanT says "kiss" ( keep it simple stupid ) is what we are going after more to come

Just curious, why reed valve instead of piston ported?

throttle response & more porting. For me it's just something I wanted to try.
The guy sent me a message stating he would love to build up a couple 440's with reed cylinder and compare it to the other brands that he's done already
