Does anyone have any spare tunnel protector strips? We have a few sleds to stud and don't have enough tunnel rub strips.
-
Still looking for 2 pair. Thanks.

Yes, they are aluminum with hyfax. Actually they are very similar to the bottom of the suspension skid slide rails. Only, as the slide rail cross-section is more of a I, these are just a squat rectangle with a "t" slot cut in them for the hyfax insertion. I should take a picture to add here.

This is not a very good photo, but it is one that i had on the computer. What is visible here is the hyfax on the bottom of the rub strips.

Still looking for Kawasaki Tunnel Rub Strips. Thanks.

I bought these at my local shop. Motion Craft. I like them because they are aluminum and would help dissipate heat when mounted over the heat exchanger. Picture 2 has a part number on it.

Doug, just saw this, thank you. I will take a hard look at those. Would still like to get some to match the other sleds that we already have.

Still looking.

2 pics of the rails mounted. Left side was EZ! Right side took some layout and a special bracket made. Right side location is exactly under the the tubing going to the radiator. I am happy with the way it turned out.

Well done!

Today we arrived home from a trip up north and was pleasantly surprised to see a pair of OEM tunnel protectors waiting for me. Looks like the 1981 Invader project has new life. Thank God also for patience, and other projects to distract me, since it took 16 months to find them.

My dad would say "patience and persistence conquers all". In practice that can be hard to do.
