Title: Cylinder Stud Too Pitted?
Post by: neworiginal on April 02, 2019, 07:17:11 PM
Does this look too far gone for use? I am hoping they work but would hate to cut a simple corner if I should replace the cylinder studs. Of course would have to source some new ones.

Was able to find the part number but no luck finding replacements. Part No 92004-3002

I would not consider them to be too bad to reuse.

Thanks, I admit I was hoping for that feedback.

I agree with mswyka those don't look too bad.
I would shine them up with maybe a fine wire brush in a drill, particularly on the threaded area.
When you go to torque down the cylinder head nuts at final assembly, you will want those threads to be cleaned up to get a true torque reading.
