Title: Stuck ignition switch
Post by: bryan_damone on May 01, 2021, 09:51:01 PM
Has anyone had a tumbler stuck in an ignition switch such that it would not turn. Any ideas on freeing it up other than some spray lubes?

Spray lube is your best chance at saving it. Maybe a silly question but is this the correct key?

Thanks. Pretty sure I have matching 23 ignition and key. But the key and switch were sourced from different places. Not sure if wear on either the key or tumbler could lead to it not working. Can that happen?

I had the same thing happen recently.  Turned out that the internals were corroded.

I took one apart one time, if you try that make sure you do it over a pan so when the parts start popping out you can catch them :o :o.  After some time of trying to get it back together I just went and found a different one to use.

This is inline with me expectations of what would happen if I try to take it apart........ :-\.
