I am having trouble finding an available shock for the 80 Invader. So far all I see is "no longer available." Anyone have a part number and currently available source for the Invader shock?

Rear shock? This is from the parts interchange thread: The Kimpex 04-269 rear gas shock has been discontinued, however the SPI SU-04282 shows it fits the same model SKIDOOs as the Kimpex part did, so it should work on the Kaws as well.
I recall a discussion on here about installing it...

Found it: http://kawasakitrax.com/kawiforum/index.php?topic=2412.msg16019#msg16019 (http://kawasakitrax.com/kawiforum/index.php?topic=2412.msg16019#msg16019)

Good input. Thank you. Did you see my PM?

I didn’t. I used to get an email alerting me to new messages, but I quit receiving them awhile back.
Anyone know why?

I am not receiving the e-mail notices either. They just stopped abruptly. The last one I received was on November 3 last year.

This alert thing has been mentioned but I'm not sure what is happening.

I found the Ski-doo cross reference for the gas shock SPI SU-04282 and am seeing that shock offered for sale for anywhere between $100 and $200+ which are a bit much for our sleds.
Also checked the 2022 Parts Unlimited catalog. They list a new product number 4710-0133 for the Invader and Intruder. I have yet to find anyone listing this number for sale.

Maybe try calling Dennis Kirk? I believe they are a PU dealer. If it's new for PU, they probably just don't have it updated on the websites yet.

No success with DK, they say if it is not on the DK website then they don't sell it. The customer service rep did try to dig into Parts Unlimited and found the same do loop that I did with everything pointing back to an authorized PU dealer. After a little more searching i did find a PU e-mail and am now waiting a response.

Parts Unlimited has affirmed that 4710-0133 hydraulic shock absorber is rear suspension shock.
Still have not found anyone to sell it to me, but I will keep at it.

Parts Unlimited affirmed that 4710-0133 is rear suspension shock and has welded nubs for the spring adjustment. Will make some calls today to see if I can order.

Great news! Good luck!
I would think if PU has it available, you should be able to contact any PU dealer and and request one...

Shock is ordered. This is iffy since the parts counter guy said that there was no stock in the warehouses he checked. So we shall see if this actually shows up. I want to remain optimistic since the PU customer support guy said that they do have stock.
