I don't have the 82 Intruder manuals, but the others, from 1978 to 1981 show that all those models used twin VM-32 power (econo) jet carbs for the Intruder. The only differences are a slight reduction in the factory jetting from 78 to 79. Kawasaki must have felt they went a little too conservative with the 1st year 1978, and could drop back slightly on the jetting. All those years from 78 to 81 show the stock clip position on the jet needle was the 3rd position.
75 SnoJet Astro SS, 79 Kawasaki Invader 440 (two of them), 81 Scorpion Sidewinder, 82 Blizzard 9500, 83 Yamaha Vmax 540, 97 MXZ 670....and holding...for now.

Jetting depends on the year and if it's the left or right carb, what does the tag on the motor say?

A 1980 Intruder motor tag will say TA440C-C201.

Left carb is marked L32/164  Main jet 145,  Pilot jet 25,  Power jet 140RRT,  Jet needle  6 DH7-3
Right carb              R32/165  Main      145,  Pilot     25,  Power jet  120RRT  Jet needle   6 DH7-3

This is more info than you were asking for.
