Ouch....my invader is stuck

So I put this sled together from a box a couple years ago....sled ran great after getting a few bugs out...so one fine snowy day bunch of people show to do some sledding which means I'm running around like crazy getting a bunch of my vintage sleds ready to ride...I'm ashamed to say it but ...I didn't top the oil in my invader...it occurs to me as we are out riding and since we were close to home I decide to head back... got real close to home when she ran out of oil and died....sad day indeed....anyway since I have a number of sleds and never enough time I decide to let a shop rebuild the motor for me...turns out crank is a mess...send it out to Quebec and get crank rebuilt ...shop puts sled back together and I go riding....I was premixing fuel for as I was breaking it in then start to run straight gas...two weeks we go out for a ride on a cold night...I'm thinking the sled isn't quite as good as it used to be but we had been running in a fair bit of powder....I'm putting along the edge of the bush at a pretty light speed (on hard pack)as we had some rookie riders out with us that night....I start to feel a loss of power...feather the throttle a bit and the engine comes to an abrupt halt....Pull on the rip cord and she is tight tight tight...won't budge....another sad day....brought it back to the shop that did the rebuild...they haven't got around to tearing it apart yet ....I pulled the plugs and the colour was bang on so no air leak....so know I'm thinking it must be lubrication problem on the crank...then today I read on here how bullet proof the pumps are....I had also checked and topped up the rad fluid...motor did not seem excessively hot...anybody want to quess what happened to this engine??? hopefully once we pull it apart we will find the smoking gun....until then I'm scratching my head

Belly pan is in great shape...no cracks...sounds like I better keep it that way
I was actually running on hard pack when it locked up

You mentioned you were running premix, was that premix only, or premix with the injection pump?

Initially I had been running premix with the injector...At he time she locked up I don't tink there was any premix left in the fuel....
Looks like the shop is in no big hurry to crack that engine open
