The idle air screw should have a spring?  The idle speed screw has a spring.
Stumped?

Yes, the air screw has a small spring that fits inside the carb.  If you remove the air screw, and turn the carb upside down, the spring should fall out of the hole.  The idle speed screw as a spring that is visible on the outside.

Yepper, no spring in mine, musta lost it on one of the cleanings. Stole one from parts sled.

Sled still floods easy, never needs choke to start, just two primes.  Even though its in my attached garage it's still cold enough you would think it needed choke.  Gonna try her out soon.  Needs a good run instead of just on a stand, in garage.

Sledding season is almost over :'(

If you were leaking fuel into the crankcase through the impulse line, it can take awhile to run it out.  Take it out and run it hard, while we still have snow!

I never use both the primer and the choke, 2-3 primes and pull the rope.

I rarely use the choke (enrichners) but always use the primers.
