Non Kawasaki motor in Intruder
« on: October 28, 2015, 05:24:57 PM »
Hello, I'm looking at putting a Non Kawasaki motor in my Intruder if I'm not able to get a proper motor for it. I was wondering how this could be done and how easy it could be. I have access to welders and grinders for cutting and welding. The motor I'm looking at putting in it is either a 454 Rotax, 470 Rotax or 583 Rotax. Thanks.

The way the correct engine mounts would make it very difficult to mount a different engine.

There should be Intruder engine's available.
 Where are you located?

Llyod is right.  Anything can be done, but it won't be easy.  You're better off finding a replacement motor.  Intruder motors seem to be a little more scarce than Invader motors...It wouldn't be difficult to swap in an Invader motor.  Invader motors are fairly easy to come by.
