Need temp guage for 1980 440 invader

Most guys (myself included) replace failed temp gauges with a Sunpro unit.  I think the 8217 works well but requires the adapter for the sensor element to fit in the coolant housing.  They are relatively cheap and easy to find.  If you are more of a purist and want to keep it original, good used OEM temp gauges can be found.  But be prepared, they don't come cheap!

Would you happen to know the adapter size needed to fit the cooling housing for that sunpro model? I have one to put on my 78 invader  but the adapter is missing

Hello. If your still looking for a factory temp gauge for your invader. I have one on ebay for sale that I tested and works. Came off a 79 invader and I beleave the 80 was identical.  My cell ph is 717 504 9204 if you want me to send you pictures of it. Thanks
