4/6 shock
« on: November 25, 2017, 09:37:50 AM »
I got the 4/6 starting and running beautifully! pulled the rear skid out today surprisingly everything came apart nicely. Needs 3 bearings and a new shock. My ? is where is the best place to buy a new shock? Is the 4/6 shock the same as on all the invaders? I`m putting a 1 inch ski doo track under it looks like it should work out nicely.

75 SnoJet Astro SS, 79 Kawasaki Invader 440 (two of them), 81 Scorpion Sidewinder, 82 Blizzard 9500, 83 Yamaha Vmax 540, 97 MXZ 670....and holding...for now.

Being a 1” lug I assume the Doo track is newer.  If it is, it will have the extra internal drive nubs.  These will not clear all of the wheels on the skid without modifications.

Thanks for the help. I am working on the modification for the track. Kawasakitrax and it's members have been a huge help.

I have a 4/6 skid in the shop right now.  It has a Kimpex 08-113 in it.
Intruders:  1978, 1979, 1981 Custom (Pink)
Invaders:   1980 440
Projects:    1981 Invader 440

Thanks the kimpex 08-113 looks like a pretty good reasonably priced option. Looking at the way some of the suspension parts are bent the previous owner must have really liked to be airborne. I think I will give it much easier life.
