Another carb question

On one of my carbs. Part number 3  in the diagram is missing. It’s a spacer or washer? The other carb has it. How important is that? Thanks

 Apparently it's not very important.
I don't think any of my carbs have those anymore....a previous owner must have lost them.
They have worked fine for decades.... ;) 8)

I think that's just a tab you can bend over to lock the choke assembly in place so it doesn't come loose. Non essential equipment in my opinion.
