LTD carb question
« on: February 05, 2018, 08:56:21 AM »
1982 440 LTD
Has Keihin carburetors . I have cleaned them (except for "air jet") and checked for correct jet sizes.
I have a bog in the middle. It idles fine and goes at slow speed fine, but when I accelerate, it bogs and then finally goes.
I have adjusted the air screw with no luck (although I'm guessing that is more for low rpm)
I have also played with the screws on the "accelerator pump"
Can't figure out if I'm too rich or too lean.
Need help

Have you confirmed that the accelerator pump diaphragms are good and that the two check valves on each pump are moving and seating properly?

We should all be so fortunate!  Those of us in NY with no snow are quite envious.
