Boots
« on: July 15, 2018, 06:40:40 AM »
Now I realize that it is currently about 90 degrees in the shade, but is it ever really too early to start preparing for winter?

My question today is about boots.  I have this pair of Kaufman Sorrells that is now 30 years old.  These boots have been outstanding.  They are a little large, but my feet have never been cold.  And, as with most things, I find that the rubber in the boots is breaking down and I am fearful that I will need a new pair soon, if not this year.  I started searching last year and these boots are no longer available.

I would definately appreciate insight from the group on what you have found that is currently available that works well.

I too have Sorel boots but my feet sweat in them unless it is really cold and I am not moving around too much.  I have been wanting a pair of these  http://www.irishsetterboots.com/USD/product/hunting-boots/00860-elk-tracker-gtx-860   but they are a bit spendy.

Those look very nice.

I will say that I have never had a sweating problem with these particular boots.
