I have one of these on the Intimidator.  Iirc it weighed less than 7 pounds (and that was before cutting out all the vents).

I just got done seeing these hoods on facebook.  Tom is 7lbs lighter than the laid fiberglass 79 hood?  Just got me a little excited again about my Kawasaki.  Soon to post up my modifications.

The fiberglass hood was on the 78s only.  They are much lighter than the 79 and up hoods, but not as light as these race hoods.  I haven’t actually weighed my 78 hood, but I can tell from lifting it open that it’s heavier.

I picked up a 78 Invader parts sled with plans to repair the hood and use it on the Intimidator until I came across the race hoods.
