How to adjust air gap on 1979 Invader flywheel ?
« on: March 23, 2019, 01:17:39 PM »
What is the proper procedure to adjust the air gap on the 79 Invader 340 flywheel ?  My shop manual doesn't show anything about this.  When I turn the motor over I can feel and hear the flywheel rubbing on a coil .  Thank You for any help. The sled has 1,320 miles on it.

I dont think there is any adjustment of the air gap for the lighting coil, pulser or primary coil.  It sounds like you might have a wrong part in there.
