Why was the Interceptor called a 550 and not a 530?

The motor was a 530cc. Anyone know why the company called it the Interceptor 550?

Yep, same reason they called the 436 Invaders a 440, along with most all snowmobiles.

Then they should of made the Number 548 cc since they called it a 550.

I wonder how much more horse power it would of had if it was 548cc .
