Keeping up with 800's
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:01:50 AM »
Ran a 55 mile poker derby yesterday with my 78 intruder, out here in the Sask. prairie. Ran awesome. Never had an issue with it. For the last 35 Miles or so I ended up riding with a group of guys, 3 Arctic Cat 800's, an M1000, and a new Polaris Rush. It got very mild in early Jan. here so the some of the snow is pretty hard and rough. My goal was to keep up with those guys and I did. Finished right with them. But I'm paying for it today. Had a blast though. something about these old machines. Wish my speedo worked. I was wide open 90% of the time trying to keep up.

It is fun keeping up with the bigger newer sleds.

As long as the trail isn't too rough  My 81 Liquifire will keep up to the 600 and 700's with no problem.

Sure surprises them when they are trying to lose you and can't
