oil injection

  hi I have a 80 440 invader the oil injection was removed the hardware is there but the lines are gone. I have 1/8 fuel line that seems to fit will that work or where would I find the right line  thanks

  Should work fine, but make sure you clamp the lines to the fittings.  If you dont have the original inj. clamps you can use small zip ties but cut off the extra so they don't get tangled up in the inj. cable.

I get the thick walled oil injection line from my local Polaris Dealer.  I've never tried the primer/fuel line, it kinks relatively easy.  Kinked oil line = destruction.

If you have the engine out it might make sense to take the pump apart to be sure that it has not been damaged from running with no oil and with the hoses disconnected.  The other end of the hose should also be checked to make sure that you have clear banjo fittings.  If you need info on taking the pump apart let me know I can send you some photos.  There is also another thread here somewhere with those same photos and a caution about damaging the cylinder in the pump.
