newbie with newly aquired 340 and 440 invaders

Greetings to all!
I just got the vintage sled bug and decided to go the Kawi route. Pick up these two Invaders from a guy locally for $400 and looking for tips, tricks and expert advice. I did post a more detailed description of my sleds and another project sled I am thinking of picking up in the owners forum but noticed more action in this "general" section. I do believe the 440 may have the factory "power up" kit....not sure. I do know I will need to do crank seals on both...along with plenty of other fixes. Bought as Christmas gifts/projects for my sons and I to dive into. I believe these are both '79 models, am I correct?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

This whole forum is full of 'golden nuggets" as you say. Just visit often and ask specific questions. Someone will know. Looks like you have nice sleds to restore. Welcome.

if the hi perf kit pipes are correct they dont have 'bells' at the cyl joint, they are a pipe that slides into a smaller pipe. ive always wanted to set up one as a kit, i did 2/3 back in the day, a big improvement in power.
