Got off on a tangent Tom...

Benefit:
Half the weight. A pipe tuned to 8300 rpm and already almost built.

Silencer: 8 inches of metal tube 23mm (perforated or drilled1/8 to 1/4 holes)  put it in a 2 inch tube packed with rockwool insulation. 

Critical is the total length to the end of the forcing cone.  Manipulate that total length and it manipulates the "band" of power.  Shorter by 31mm or longer than 31mm 75hp pipe or respectively 85hp pipe.  The forcing cone is the point the percussion wave is getting returned back toward the piston.
