Invader secondary clutch spring

I disassembled my driven clutch , cleaned and measured the bushings.  All is ready for reassembly.  I followed the manual as a guide for reassembly.  It suggested setting up the spring in the "B2" holes.  150* .  When I checked the braking tension with a fish scale, it moves at 3 lbs.  I read it should be 10-11 lbs.  Need a new spring I guess!  Moving the spring to the "C2" would marginally help I think.  Can I twist the sheave 120* MORE  over the next helix tower?  Presently I lined up the arrows and the little NUB on the back side.  Do I just give it more preload?

  I am willing to bet the helix hasn't been rotated "enough".  Can you see a spring color?  I have rebuilt these secondaries before and if you are lining things up correctly, you will "struggle" keeping the helix where it needs to be while you install the outer C clip.  I also mark the detents and arrow with a black magic marker.  If your installation is correct...  your fish scale should pull at least 11 lbs on the number two hole.  There is a reference point on "all" components, so I'd double check.  You could wrap for more spring pretension, but I've never had to do that before.    Tory

Well I placed the fixed sheave with the little nub mark at 12 o clock.  I sat the moveable sheave on the spindle.  Positioned the arrow at 4-5 o clock .  Inserted the spring in B2 hole.  Lined up the helix with the nub at 12.  AAAAHH   Crap maybe I should of lined up the helix to the arrow.  4-5 o clock.  DUHH  Gona go try that now!

Well I lined up PROPERLY this time.  I got 11 lbs to break the clutch.  And all the arrows and rear nub are all lining up with each other.  I'm sure it will be fine now.  Funny how just asking the question sometimes brings answers.  CLARITY
