Does anyone have a number or a source for the sight glass on the gear housing side of the crankcase?

I show it listed as "oil gauge" PN 52005-3001.  Never seen a new one but there must be many used ones out there.

Yet to find one that you can actually see through.  Kinda like the old auto windshields that "fog up" in the corners.  lol

they were difficult to see when brand new, just put in the recommended amount of oil and hope for the best....that is my take on it.

True.  The point of the replacement was not because the existing glass is obscured, it was because I was considering baking off the old residue and expected that if it went into the oven the sight glass gasket would not survive.  I ended up opting not to bake it.
