Water Pump
« on: January 27, 2016, 11:05:45 AM »
After doing some searching for rebuild parts for water pumps or a water pump rebuilder we found the Flying Dutchman of Selma, Oregon.  I have not used this service myself, but have it on the authority of another member of this forum that the Flying Dutchman has rebuilt his Invader pump and the final product was excellent.

This should be the web address:  http://vintagewaterpumps.com/

I contacted him a couple years ago and he said, without seeing it, anywhere between $90-150 depending on the condition.

Folks:

Good morning.  Here is the reply that I received from the Flying Dutchman:

"Mark, I would need to know yr. and model or engine size as they vary in design. I can build most any pump but the price starts at $95 and could be as much as $195 depending on parts needed.
Thanks, Wade."

We have yet to have a pump fail, but after hearing the horror stories of people who have swapped in two or three pumps it seems to make sense to have the pump rebuilt to remove one more worry from whether the sled will be reliable on a long run.

I haven't experienced one fail yet either.  I sold quite a few Invader pumps recently and am running low on them.  It's good to know there is a better solution.  Thanks Mark.
