I thought I would share a photo of the carb flange off of our 78 Intruder. This engine was re-built in 2004 with carb flanges from Parts Unlimited. The steel in the flanges was pretty soft and it bent easily and I remember being unsure of whether they would work acceptably or not. Well, I am pleased to report that they worked for 11 years. And, even though they look pretty ugly, they were not leaking - yet. The flanges are being replaced with new Mikuni carb flanges courtesy of New Breed Snowmobile Parts.
