Exhaust Pipe

I had a 80 440 invader exhaust given to me a guy was getting rid of it and I noticed it's different then a 78-79 is it a better system to use? Does it give more hp/ Just wondering why they changed them.

I think a 1980 exhaust is a nice gift.  I have heard that the 1980 allowed a few more HP.  But I just sat down with the 79 and the 80 manual side by side and could not find any appreciable performance difference listed in the manual.  I would use the 80 over the 79.

It was.... it came with a box of other small parts I asked him what he wanted for the parts and he just wanted them out of the garage. In the spring I'm going to look at the tunnel after the snow melts and we can get to it.
