First sled, first real project.
« on: December 15, 2018, 07:42:04 PM »
I would first off like to say thank you. I have already found so much useful information on this site.
Just acquired my first Kawasaki invader 440. It runs and goes but is rough. Not the original motor to the sled. My internet is to play with it this winter and rebuild from ground up over the summer. Similar story as many others.
I’m looking to build a reliable stockish sled, that being said this is my first real solo project. I have a large amount of parts available to me from a former Kawasaki dealer. Who happens to be a family friend. So certain parts will be no issue. However what would be a good all in one place for hard parts for theses particular sleds. Thank you all again

 Welcome!   :)
I have used all of these places over many years with great results:
In no particular order....

https://www.mfgsupply.com/snowmobile.html
https://www.denniskirk.com/snowmobile
https://www.newbreedparts.com/newbreed/

And, of course...the infamous eBay.

Several members on here have a large stash of parts, too.

I’ll bringing it home this weekend. We lost all snow and don’t have any in the forecast. So I want to get it home. I will try and take some photos. Interceptor398 I will get a photo of all tags.

Well after finally getting a bit of snow I was able to get her home.
I’ll post some pics of the badges soon as I get a chance to go into the freezer, aka my unheated garage.
