"TURBO IT: they said..
« on: April 17, 2019, 03:36:17 PM »
 "It'll be fun" they said.
My oldest son on the blue SeaDoo Spark at his lake house on Lake Freeman in Monticello, IN.
He just had to add a Victory Turbo kit to the Spark.  ::)
This kit boosts the HP to 170-180 with E-85 fuel
His wife posted this on Facebook. I had to call him.....expecting connecting rods had blown through the case....
No...he tells me...."minor tuning issues and a fitting came loose".   ;D
That is his good buddy, who also owns a Spark, on MY good ol' '96 Polaris SLT 700 towing him back to the dock.
The Polaris has been a great 2 stroke smoker for 15 years or so that I have owned it.
Ahh....kids   8)

I like turbos in general...There's just something about using the wasted energy that goes out the tail pipe to boost horsepower and efficiency to amazing levels!

I'm sure I will get to try it this summer, but this old man is going to wait until the lake water temp gets up into the 70s before I do.... ;D ;D
My son has a good wet suit and it sounds like he is getting it dialed in and says it is crazy fast.

Sorry this wasn't sled related, but I am bummed out that some of the sled sites I am a member on have come to a virtual standstill. This site also slows down in the summer months, naturally, but it's fun to see what the members are working on.
A Scorpion forum and the John Deere sled forum I am a member on have virtually ceased for the summer. I find that strange since both brands were in the sled business for several more years than Kawasaki.

Go rent a dry suit from a scuba shop then wear a life jacket, helmet, tether and squeeze that throttle. Just make sure you tell him the faster you go the more unstable you get sponson's work wonders

Quick question: Is that engine piston ported?

 It's a 3 cylinder 4 stroke.
Just around 5 years ago Bombardier developed the 2 cylinder 600 ACE engine (60 HP), then quickly followed with the 3 cylinder 900 ACE with 90 HP.
They use the 900 in SeaDoo watercraft, UTV's, and snowmobiles.
Just last year SkiDoo added the 900T (turbo) engine as an option in their sleds,....I think it is around 155 HP.

I don't know if this short video will open for others on this site. Sometimes the Facebook "privacy" settings mess with me and stuff won't open properly.
It shows my son playing around yesterday as the Easter Bunny...that SeaDoo sure likes to wheelie, but it is fast as all get out when leveled out.....and no, I haven't ridden it yet. ;)
